Research- My idea
The first idea I contributed to the group; A man who recently lost his wife is contemplating suicide. He writes a suicide note at the beginning of the scene with a noose by the table, ready if he wants to go through with it. He then decides too not take his life and to go after his wife's killer in an all out battle to the death.
Research- Prop
We needed to know how to tie the noose for our scene. This video helped.

Inspiration! (Lost)
I stumbled upon this clip of the TV show Lost, in this scene the character is writing a suicide note and attempts to hang himself using a noose which is almost identical to what our group are trying to do for our opening. - Nathaniel Clarke

Research- Our Target Audience
The target audience for our film will be both men and women aged between 18-35 years of age. Due to there being many scenes about death and violence, we feel that the youngest viewers should be 18 years old. Being a psychological thriller the film opening will have an effect on the viewers mind, we don't want to put uncomfortable thoughts into the minds of young children. We believed that generally people over the age of 35 wouldn't have too much interest in our film because of the more modern style of the film.

Planning - Final Idea!
Our groups final idea is a mix between Nathaniel’s initial idea and Clinton’s intial idea. We have indefinitely that the title will be called Last Note. There will be two scene in the opening. It will start off with the main character, who is grieving over his long term girlfriend who was killed one year ago. He is seen in the opening writing on a notepad what appears to be a suicide note hence the name ‘Last Note’. As he is writing note he sees the article from the day after his wife died, which sets off a flashback. After this flashback he appears to be in more distress and bring out a noose. At this stage he is still contemplating whether to go through with the suicide or not, he ties the noose and hangs it from the ceiling, the scene ends with him putting the noose around his head, but doesn’t show what exactly happens.
The next scene takes place in a graveyard, there will be an establishing shots which will follow straight after the previous scene. A large portion of this scene will be made of establishing shots of the graveyard, then will show someone approaching a gravestone. The audience does not yet know whether the character from the previous scene is dead or not. As the person places the flowers down, the camera will pan up revealing that its the person from the previous scene and that he is still alive.

Planning - Initial Ideas (Nathaniel)
Idea 1
A man dressed casually is holding a rubbish bag which he takes outside and throw into the estate bin. After throwing the bag to the bin he then brings out his phone and call someone. As he is calling i thought it would be good for the angle to change to a CCTV style, which would suggest that someone may be watching him or he is up to some kind of criminal activity. Flashbacks would be shown when he hangs up showing the contents of what is in the bag, which i thought would likely be body parts. The flashback would show quick flashes of the man cutting up the body parts, then tossing them into the rubbish bag, each flash would show different body parts being taken apart.
Idea 2
