Editing - Rough Cut

Firstly we selected the usable footage that was to be incorporated in the opening sequence, we saved some footage for our 'bloopers'.

We then opened up the clips on Final Cut Pro, and dragged each clip on to the timeline; Cutting down the clip to where the '5 second countdown' starts.

Once we had the opening sequence in order we added the first flashback scene, to create the black and white effect we went to 'Effects' and selected 'Video Filter', scrolled down to 'Image Control' and selected ' Desaturate' to remove all the visible colour and give the olden   (past tense) feel.

We then needed to add titles to the sequence; firstly we clicked the button below the viewer screen and selected 'Text' and then a grey screen appeared with a space to enter the text.
We entered the first title (Clinton Awuah) to appear, we then changed the font and sizing of the text.

We then dragged the text to the sequence, and a black screen appeared ( this was how we moved the text around) on the screen on the right the live sequence was playing and the text was showing. We then adjusted the title to the screen until we was satisfied with the positioning.
