Difficulties filming: During filming, many stumbling blocks hindered the effectiveness of our film opening. Firstly, we had to change actors on the second day of filming due to lack of camera experience from members of the group. We decided it would be best, both from an acting standpoint and a camera standpoint.
Moreover, lighting proved difficult to handle. Positioning of the Dimmer was not correct allot of the time, causing some shots to posses very poor lighting. Also, the Dimmer caused some shadows to be cast which could be seen in the scenes, making them look rather weird. It took us a while to correct these problems, mainly due to a lack of experience with these pieces of equipment.
Using the camera also proved difficult. We sometimes had to use books and other objects to hold up the camera when trying to capture certain shots. The battery life of the camera was also too short for us, simply because we took to long to capture shots, while leaving the camera on.
Furthermore, the group constantly disagreeing on decisions added another level of difficulty. Everybody had their own invision of how they wanted the film opening to unfold. We tried to incorporate parts of everybody's vision which proved difficult.
Our initial location was changed at the last minute due to difficulties booking the place. The graveyard we wanted to use initially required a £50 booking in advance, money we simply didn't have. We changed the location to another graveyard which did not require booking.
